This app is a frequency counter that is based on the microphone input. It is designed to count when the input rises or falls past a set level and then convert it into either frequency or time period. However, it is important to note that the results provided are for indication purposes only and may vary depending on your device and its hardware.

If your main goal is to determine the frequency of a sound that has harmonics, such as a musical instrument, it would be advisable to use a FFT-based app like keuwlsoft's spectrum analyzer or guitar tuner, both of which are available for free. These apps will provide more accurate frequency measurements for signals with multiple frequencies.
